Faculty web pages

February 25th, 2011

We are in the process of setting up OpenScholar to support faculty web pages at Purchase.

OpenScholar is an open source application developed at Harvard which gives each faculty member complete control over their Purchase-affiliated academic online presence. It is a much better alternative to the existing static faculty webpages, which faculty currently have no control over. Using OpenScholar, you will be able to easily create and manage your dynamic professional website without the need for any special technical skills; it’s as easy to use as a word processing program. Faculty will no longer have to wait for updates to be made to their faculty webpage, as you will be given full control over your website.

You can watch a video about OpenScholar and its many features here: http://openscholar.harvard.edu/home.

If you are interested in setting up a site on our OpenScholar system, please send an email to TLTC@purchase.edu, and we will get you up and running.
